Summary from Nicole Butler (our researcher on staff!)

Rooted Rhythm is a specialized mental health clinic committed to nurturing highly sensitive children and their families. With offices in Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, Denver, CO, and a robust telehealth network, we offer comprehensive therapeutic services, including child therapy, parent coaching, and adult therapy. Our practice is grounded in evidence-based play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, empowering children to explore and express their emotions through play in a safe, supportive environment. In 2024, our Denver location introduced a 5-day Therapy Summer Camp, responding to the needs of our community with a program designed to offer deeper support. This camp focused on six essential developmental areas: social skills, creative expression, distress tolerance, self-esteem, community connection, and mind-body integration.

The Therapy Summer Camp was thoughtfully structured to give children the opportunity to practice social interactions in real-life scenarios. Each day was filled with group and individual therapy sessions, creative arts, movement exercises, and imaginative play aimed at nurturing emotional regulation and self-expression. The camp also allowed our therapists to closely observe children's social dynamics closely, providing real-time interventions that strengthened therapeutic relationships. For parents, the camp fostered meaningful connections with other families navigating similar experiences, creating a supportive community beyond the camp itself.

Following the success of our summer camp, we are thrilled to announce the Winter Therapy Camp at Rooted Rhythm, scheduled for December 30, 2024 to January 3, 2025. This winter intensive will allow highly sensitive children to continue their emotional and social development in a nurturing, immersive setting. This camp is designed to build self-esteem, emotional resilience, and a sense of community by combining group and individual therapy, creative arts, movement, and play-based interventions. Whether new or returning, campers will find a space to grow and connect as they enter the new year with confidence. We encourage early registration, as spaces are limited!
